Each 72 fiber MPO breakout cable comes in two main configurations including six 12 fiber or three 24 fiber connectors. These two popular fiber counts allow for wider range of compatibility with high performance transceivers such as the QSFP+ and QSFP28 for 12 fiber connectors or the CPAK and CXP for 24 fiber connectors. Both connectors are capable of establishing 100G (100GBASE-SR4 or 100GBASE-SR10) links when connected to properly configured optical transceivers. 72 Fiber MPO Breakout Cables feature a fire-retardant and non-conductive jacketing developed for use in Plenum areas.
