24 Fiber Plenum MPO Breakout Cables
24 Fiber Plenum MPO Breakout Cables leverage the most economical multifiber connector, the MPO connector. The MPO connector can easily be found throughout some of the highest performing fiber optic networks and are used in QSFP+, QSFP28, CPAK, CXP, and CFP transceivers.
24 Fiber Plenum MPO breakout cables are most commonly used in the consolidation of numerous LC connectors to a single MPO connector and the aggregation of 4x10G SFP+ to 1X40G QSFP+ or 10X10G to 1X100G. 24 Fiber Plenum MPO Breakout Cables also feature a non-conductive and fire-retardant material specially developed to prevent excessive damage in the event of a fire. Building regulations require all cabling installed in Plenum areas to be Plenum (OFNP) rated in order to produce less toxic smoke and resist the advancement of flames in the event of a fire.
All 24 fiber MPO cables feature OptoSpan’s new and exclusive FiberShield design. The FiberShield design uses three times the PVC jacket and DuPont Kevlar to protect the delicate optical fibers located inside the cables, resulting in a flexible yet robust 4.5mm cable that is 5x stronger than the standard 3.0mm cable.
