24 Fiber Plenum MTP Elite Breakout Cables
24 Fiber Plenum MTP Elite Breakout Cables utilize a higher performing MTP connector developed by US Conec. The MTP Elite connector is manufactured using a similar process experienced by the standard MTP connector, although each MTP Elite connector is carefully selected only after meeting strict manufacturing tolerances.
24 Fiber Plenum MTP Elite Breakout Cables feature OptoSpan’s new and exclusive FiberShield technology for increased strength and durability. The FiberShield design uses 3x the amount of PVC jacketing and DuPont Kevlar, increasing cable diameter from 3.0mm to 4.5mm, and results in a cable up to 5x stronger.
Plenum MTP Elite Breakout Cables are most commonly used to aid in the migration from 10G to 40G and 100G networks. Unlike 10G links which use simple LC connectors, 40G and 100G links require additional fibers to transport data, such as the high density MPO, MTP or MTP Elite connectors. 24 Fiber Plenum MTP Elite Breakout Cables are therefore useful in adapting 10G networks with LC connections to 40G or 100G networks with multifiber (MPO, MTP, or MTP Elite) connectors.
