12 Fiber Plenum MTP Elite Breakout Cables feature OptoSpan’s new and exclusive FiberShield technology developed to provide an additional layer of physical protection to the delicate internal optical fibers. FiberShield increases the amount of PVC jacketing and DuPont Kevlar, strengthening the fiber assembly by up to 5x when compared to traditional fiber cables.

While each MTP Elite connector undergoes a similar manufacturing process as standard MTP connectors, MTP Elite connectors are specially selected only after meeting strict manufacturing tolerances. These exceptional connectors are therefore able to reduce the amount of insertion loss produced during mating devices, up to half when compared to standard MTP connectors and over half when compared to traditional MPO connectors.

12 Fiber Plenum MTP Elite Breakout Cables are commonly used to redistribute the internal strands from larger multifiber cable assemblies or fiber patch panels. Additionally ease the transition from 10G to 40G data transmission rates.
