72 Fiber Plenum MTP Elite Cables

72 Fiber Plenum MTP Elite Cables feature a higher performing MTP connector developed to reduce the amount of insertion loss experienced when connecting devices. Insertion loss may be reduced by up to half when compared to standard MTP connectors, and greater than half when compared to traditional MPO connectors. A reduction in insertion loss allows networks to be designed with additional patching points, creating a more flexible network by allowing direct contact to the internal fibers when paired with devices such as Fiber Cassettes or Fiber Breakout Cables. 72 Fiber Plenum MTP Elite Cables are available as three 24 fiber MTP Elite connectors, or six 12 fiber MTP Elite connectors.

The most common application for 72 Fiber Plenum MTP Elite Cables includes transporting up to three individual 100G (100GBASE-SR10) signals through a single trunk assembly. Additional applications include sending up to 36 individual 10G signals or 9 individual 40G signals (40GBASE-SR4) when connected to properly configured devices. Individual signals best accessed using convenient fiber assemblies such as Fiber Cassettes or Fiber Breakout Cables in order to ensure compatibility with the majority of networking devices.
