144 Fiber Plenum MPO Cables

144 Fiber Plenum MPO Cables feature a harness-style construction and are commonly used in the consolidation of individual multifiber assemblies in order to reduce unnecessary bulk and cost. These are available in two popular configurations, including a twelve 12 fiber or six 24 fiber MPO connectors. The 12 fiber MPO connector is currently the most common and may be found in popular networking devices such as the QSFP+ and QSFP28 transceivers used for 40G (40GBASE-SR4) and 100G (100GBASE-SR10) links. The 24 fiber connector has gained in popularity due to being able to carry up to three individual 40G (40GBASE-SR4) links or a single 100G (100GBASE-SR10) link using a single connector pair and properly configured QSFP+ or CXP/CPAK transceivers.

144 Fiber Plenum MPO Cables feature a fire-retardant and non-conductive material developed to limit the damage caused in the event of a fire. Plenum areas are often used to transport conditioned air throughout a building’s interior, which includes the spaces between ceilings, walls, and floors. A common installation practice involves running cables within Plenum areas in order to easily access all rooms and floors within a building with minimal obstructions.
