Armored High Tensile Strength
This incredibly durable waterproof cable has two additional steel wires for the tensile strength necessary for
extended lengths of outdoor use, in addition to IP68 and UV ratings.
OptoSpan's SteelMax-IP68 Series cables are designed specifically for use in outdoor industrial networks,
including Fiber to the Antenna (FTTA) installations, multi-building connections, and transit hubs.
These ruggedized UV-rated cables contain two strength elements made from high-grade steel wire and a steel jacket molded in a helical pattern to protect the inside fibers. In addition to being waterproof and having an IP68 classification, this cable is also UV-resistant and features two steel wires for the tensile strength required for long stretches of outdoor use.
These outdoor armored fiber optic cables are suitable for outdoor applications that require greater than 100 meters of distance. Their unique design enables them to be installed safely outside without a conduit.
