The most common uses for 8 Fiber MTP-LC breakout cables include the conversion of 40G data transmission rates from the MTP connector to lower rates of 1G/10G through the LC connectors. This same principle may be applied in reverse, transferring multiple 1G/10G sources through a single MTP® connector, thus eliminating unnecessary clutter.
Each MTP to LC Breakout Cable is available with pinned (male) or non-pinned (female) connectors of any combination to ensure networking compatibility. Common MTP cable lengths range from 1 to 150 meters, and additional lengths are available upon special request. Supported fiber specifications include Multimode (OM3/OM4).
