24 Fiber Plenum MTP Elite Cables
24 Fiber Plenum MTP Elite Cables feature a higher performing MTP connector capable of further reducing insertion loss. Following a stringent manufacturing process which separates standard MTP connectors from MTP Elite units, each MTP Elite connector must measure within strict manufacturing tolerances set by the developer US Conec. The reduction of insertion loss allows for additional connections to be established throughout the fiber network and greatly increases the capacity without degrading network performance. 24 Fiber Plenum MTP Elite Cables have been developed with Plenum jacketing to aid in the reduction of smoke and spread of flames in the event of combustion.
All 24 fiber MTP Elite cables feature OptoSpan’s new and exclusive FiberShield design. The FiberShield design uses three times the PVC jacket and DuPont Kevlar to protect the delicate optical fibers located inside the cables, resulting in a flexible yet robust 4.5mm cable that is 5x stronger than the standard 3.0mm cable.
The most common application of the 24 Fiber Plenum MTP Elite Cables includes providing a 100G (100G-SR10) link between fiber switches or panels. Alternative applications include transferring up to 12 individual 10G signals, three individual 40G signals, or a combination of signals as required when connected to properly configured devices.
