Each MTP Elite connector reduces the amount of insertion loss by up to half when compared to standard MTP connectors, and over half when compared to MPO connectors. A reduction in insertion loss allows for additional fiber cables to be deployed throughout a network without experiencing a large performance loss. 144 Fiber MTP Breakout Cables are therefore the perfect product for use in large datacenters or performance critical networks, such as those associated with academia, national defense, or healthcare.

144 Fiber MTP Breakout Cables are commonly used to reduce the amount of clutter and complexity in datacenters. Applications include converting 40G and 100G signals from QSFP+ and CPAK transceivers to more manageable 10G signals for use in LC transceivers. This solution allows for a more streamlined appearance and nearly eliminates the need for more complex equipment, such as fiber panels or fiber cassettes.
