12 Fiber MTP Elite

12 Fiber MTP Elite Cables

MTP FiberShield Specifications

12 fiber MTP® Elite Cables are most commonly used to establish high performing 10G, 40G, or 100G connections throughout a network. Often used to create links between two optical transceivers, such as the QSFP+ to QSFP+ for 10G/40G or QSFP100 to QSFP100 for 100G, these MTP Elite cables improve network reliability by a redesigned internal and external construction to reduce wear-and-tear, insertion loss, and maintain a secure physical connection. These 12 Fiber MTP Elite Cables may also be used to establish fiber panel to fiber panel trunk connections, such as between the Matrix Ultra Elite panels.

All 12 fiber MTP Elite cables feature OptoSpan’s new and exclusive FiberShield design. The FiberShield design uses three times the PVC jacket and DuPont Kevlar to protect the delicate optical fibers located inside the cables, resulting in a flexible yet robust 4.5mm cable that is 5x stronger than the standard 3.0mm cable.

Each 12 Fiber MTP Elite cable improves on the standard MTP and traditional MPO connector by reducing the amount of insertion loss by up to 50%, due to an entire redesigning of the internal construction when compared to MPO connectors and adhering to strict manufacturing tolerances when compared to standard MTP connectors.
